Writing Practice Test 5
Three short tasks, about 23 minutes in all. Take a moment to read how it works, then begin when you're ready.
- 1
Build a Sentence
10 sentences · 6 minutes for all of them
Put word and phrase tiles in order to make a reply that fits a short conversation. Each set has one tile that doesn't belong.
- 2
Write an Email
1 email · 7 minutes
Read a short situation and write an email that does three things. There's no word target: write as much as you can, in complete sentences.
- 3
Write for an Academic Discussion
1 post · 10 minutes
Read a professor's question and two classmates' posts, then add your own opinion. A strong post is usually at least 100 words.
How this test works
Each task has its own timer
When a task's time runs out, it's submitted as it stands, so an unfinished answer still counts. Each new task's timer starts when you press Start.
Move freely between sentences
In Build a Sentence you can go back and change any sentence until you submit the task.
No going back to a task
Once you submit a task, it's closed and you move on to the next one.
Your work saves as you go
Pause whenever you need to. Your timer stops and your writing is hidden until you resume. There's no spell check, just like on test day.
Your results take a short moment to be ready after you finish. You can close the page and come back to them.
No account needed. Your progress is saved to this browser, and you can create a free account any time to keep it.
